Oxfam is looking for a dynamic and skilled Research Officer II (Project Evaluation) to join our team. What you’ll be doing?

Project Evaluation:

• Assist in project evaluation, including data collection and analysis, and report writing.
• Support poverty alleviation research and projects based on evaluation findings.
• Collaborate with research and advocacy team to incorporate impact-focused thinking into research and project
• performance.
• Stay updated on best practices in impact assessment and evaluation to improve OHK’s research and projects.
• Assist in developing and updating OHK’s analysis and positions on Hong Kong poverty issues.
• Work with communications team to effectively communicate evaluation findings to stakeholders, via various channels and in different formats.

CSR Development:

• Assist in developing evaluation tools and practices for poverty-alleviation research and CSR projects.
• Maintain relationships with corporate partners and community organizations.
• Identify opportunities for innovative CSR initiatives and develop project proposals.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of CSR activities and provide regular reports.
• Stay updated on trends and best practices in CSR and sustainability.
• Undertake other tasks as requested by Assistant Research and Advocacy Manager.

Who are we looking for?

• Degree holder in social science or a related field with 3 years’ relevant experience in impact assessment, project evaluation or policy research.
• Familiarity with poverty-alleviation policies and projects in Hong Kong.
• In-depth knowledge of best practices in project evaluation
• Strong data analysis skills, including proficiency in Excel and other data analysis software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese (both spoken and written).
• Identification with Oxfam’s mission, vision and core values is a must.
